I don't know if I have any answers, but thinking back I seemed to remember saying some of the same things you say; "I often wonder about God though...why is it that he doesn't hear me?" You know Darrell, when your children give you a request, the answer is probably a "Yes" or "No". With God, many times it could be the same. A "Yes" answer is pretty evident. A "No" answer could be confused with "he didn't hear me" or he is ignoring me. Probably not. Sometimes the answer is just "No" As his child, maybe we have to learn to be just as thankful for the "No" answers as we do the "Yes" answers. Could be that I just don't know either, those are just my thoughts....

SkipSkiphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04731457383731961427noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7093618.post-44656573545623084362008-12-03T23:54:00.000-06:002008-12-03T23:54:00.000-06:00Actually I feel much better Larry. Thanks for ask...Actually I feel much better Larry. Thanks for asking.

In regards to the gallbladder & gall stones...I started having weird pains in my shoulder, chest, and right side. I thought it was my heart (even though it was on the wrong side). I found that if I stood very straight, the pain would subside. This went on for almost a month until I awoke around 1:00 a.m. with a pain that made me feel as if I was dying. I got out of bed and paced the floor in pain for a couple of hours until I decided I didn't want my wife and kid's to wake and find me dead in the living room.

We went to the emergency room and found that I had a gall stone stuck in the bile duct and the next day surgery had it gone. The doc said all would be well and the pain would be no more.

He was wrong. On a rare day I have the pain, but it doesn't last too long. Just kind of reminding me to not eat greasy food.

The kidney stones aren't too bad anymore. I passed one and still have two left. Some times I feel the twinge of one, but not much else.

I am activelly working to keep them from moving; as you know...the pain is beyond belief when they are moving/passing. The one thing I have found that really helps is simply to drink a lot of water and avoid caffeine. It's really made a difference.

I suggest you give it a try Larry. Cut the caffeine and drink lot's of water...it's really that simple.

I hope you do well, and thanks for taking the time to read and comment.

Keep us updated on how you are doing.Gimped Redneckhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12139540082325457930noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7093618.post-43704942408189794172008-12-03T23:35:00.000-06:002008-12-03T23:35:00.000-06:00how do ya feel these days? I just wanted to say, if you think your doctor does not believe you when you say you have not drank in 20 years then perhaps you should explain that you are worried about your liver degenerating from an unknown cause that possibly could be treated otherwise. For example Wilson's disease is a genetic disorder inherited in an autosomal recessive fashion that causes cirrhosis and that can manifest in many heterogeneous fashions including Whipple's triad. I do not know enough about your case to tell you much more, however it is possible that a doctor would not know about this disease and would neglect to suspect it in your case. Please consider this.
